GreenRock Recycling currently services all of Statesboro, Brooklet, and most neighborhoods within four miles of the US 80 bypass. Our pick up is every Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday depending on your address. We accept all plastic items (#1-#7) including bags and styrofoam, all glass items, all metal food cans, and aluminum drink cans. We can even recycle your miscellaneous items such as coat hangers, incandescent light bulbs, and plastic lawn furniture. If it's plastic, glass, or metal we can probably take it! However, we currently do not accept paper and cardboard. There is no need to separate your items, we just ask that everything is empty and clean.
GreenRock Statesboro currently collects over 50 tons per year of recyclable items that would otherwise go to a landfill! Using patent pending machines and processes, we use all of the plastic and glass we collect to create products for use in homes, businesses, and other construction projects. Our landscaping rock can already be seen throughout our community as well as our pothole patching material and stepping stones. All of the metal items we collect are taken to a metals recycling vendor. You can find some of our products at McKeithen's True Value Hardware located on US 67 in Statesboro. Custom landscaping rock and pavers are available and our customers always receive a discount!
